Parenting - Why be angry at other

by Scott
(California )

Wife cheated 2nd time on me that I know of, caught her but won't admit. We have 7 and 6 yr olds. In laws, and wife control everything, against me, its my fault etc. Not talking smack, not perfect here and first to admit.

But one child is brain washed by in laws and my wife told her to just ignore me today. I am her father. Was not being rude but not taking lip because her mom gives it to me.

Am I an idiot saying that is not nice and I am her father and would NEVER say ignore your mother. This lady is almost 50... grow the f up.

Sorry.
That felt good :)

I have never swore to her, hit, touched or anything. I have been on the other side of that from her.

Thoughts?

Thank you

"You gave us counseling without making either one of us feel that you were taking sides.
You always maintained your impartiality with us. You encouraged Rita to be more assertive in stating what she wanted to get from your counseling sessions, as well as what she wanted to get from the relationship.
You taught both of us better communication between ourselves, which lead to an emotional comfort level between us that didn't exist before.
You took control of the direction of the session if things were not moving along.
Thanks so much
for helping us."
