old girlfriends

by nancy
(USA)

My husband insists on being on Facebook for hours at night connecting with old girlfriends/fiances. He doesn't share any of it with me and says its none of my business. He reaches out on Facebook messenger. He also drinks too much at night ....2-3 martinis and wine, so all boundaries go by the wayside. If I say anything I get the rage response!

We have been married 17 years and there is no intimacy. he clearly is having emotional affairs all over Facebook. Any advice or help would be appreciated, he will not let me spend any money on this. He wants to take a trip to our hometown "alone" and I don't like that.
Thanks, Nancy

"You gave us counseling without making either one of us feel that you were taking sides.
You always maintained your impartiality with us. You encouraged Rita to be more assertive in stating what she wanted to get from your counseling sessions, as well as what she wanted to get from the relationship.
You taught both of us better communication between ourselves, which lead to an emotional comfort level between us that didn't exist before.
You took control of the direction of the session if things were not moving along.
Thanks so much
for helping us."
