To sum it up my wife is an alcoholic,if anyone has experience with that you know its not easy. i finally had all i could take in July 2023 and left.

fast forward to now i started seeing a lady that is getting me involved in church and it seems all the sermons are directed at me, even though no one in that church knows me.its always about the devil attacking the family or something to do wlith marriage being attacked by sin.

It makes me think did i make the wrong descision? I am still married is that a sign that i need to go back and support her in rehab? as far as i know when i left she decided to quit drinking, but why did it have to come to that? why ? i cant get my head clear of this, is it a sign to go back ? i just need advice!

"You gave us counseling without making either one of us feel that you were taking sides.
You always maintained your impartiality with us. You encouraged Rita to be more assertive in stating what she wanted to get from your counseling sessions, as well as what she wanted to get from the relationship.
You taught both of us better communication between ourselves, which lead to an emotional comfort level between us that didn't exist before.
You took control of the direction of the session if things were not moving along.
Thanks so much
for helping us."
