My Brother-In-Law's wife is out to sabotage our family....

by Patrese
(Philadelphia)

My brother-in-law just married a woman that the rest of the family, (including my husband who is his brother, their parents and grandparents) thinks is trying to sabotage his relationship with the rest of us.

She is constantly creating situations that cause him to fight with my husband and parents-in-law, and she even managed to nearly ruin our wedding day a few weeks ago. Now his parents are saying we need to simply forgive and forget, and be the bigger people while moving on.

But we have had problems with them before that we just "let go," (mostly regarding our wedding over the past 2 years) and now we think something needs to be done...

What should we do? We've tried talking to them but they don't seem to get it.

"You gave us counseling without making either one of us feel that you were taking sides.
You always maintained your impartiality with us. You encouraged Rita to be more assertive in stating what she wanted to get from your counseling sessions, as well as what she wanted to get from the relationship.
You taught both of us better communication between ourselves, which lead to an emotional comfort level between us that didn't exist before.
You took control of the direction of the session if things were not moving along.
Thanks so much
for helping us."
